Green Alternative Energy Solar Power Secrets: Alternative Energy Resources for a Greener Tomorrow
Americans are with the immediate need to bring in new methods of energy production and supply as the prices at the gas pumps skyrocketing everyday and promises to rise even higher with the sustained unrest in the Middle East, Nigeria and other countries, which are drive by the oil economy. It is now inevitable to lessen our dependence on fossil fuel-based oil, the one that is easy and cheap to obtain from the earth, because of its source being gradually running out.
The energy experts and analysts are unrelentingly expressing their concern on the fact that cheap oil resource has reached its peak. To power our modern, high-tech civilization, we must find out new alternative resources to oil, otherwise we are heading for a very expensive future.
The current forms of usages of energy are grossly polluting our atmosphere and this calls for switching to alternative forms of energy. Although, according to the writer of this article, it is extremely unlikely that global warming has much to do with the activities of the human, and it is more of a natural cycle for which we should prepare ourselves for, but the energy uses definitely contribute largely in degradation of environment like polluting the air. We should also immediately reduce our dependence on coal, which is again a finite resource.
Moreover, there is lot of risk involved in mining of coal and the process is highly unsafe for the environment. We should explore the possibilities of producing more hydropower from the existing dam and try to develop more such units for generating electricity that offer minimum damage to the environment. Therefore, our endeavor should be to build new infrastructures for hydroelectricity generation.
In recent decades, the rising trends of industrialization in the developing countries are seriously contributing to more environmental pollution than the developed countries like America, and therefore, those countries need to explore the possibilities of nurturing the alternative energy resources more. Developed countries like US, Japan, and few in Europe are seriously engaged in conducting studies and researches and creating programs to successfully implement alternative energy resources and indirectly reducing the environmental pollution.
Countries like China and India, therefore, should follow the footsteps of Japan and other western countries so far the government backing and encouraging private investment to the research and development of alternative energy are concern. We can also strengthen our own economy by marketing the technologies required for developing alternative energy resources to the countries like India, China, Brazil and others. For earning revenue from this immense potential market we need to be the forerunner.
Though we have already found out the possible alternatives, still our lifestyle is largely dependent on the use of fossil fuels like oil and coal. The increased use of different environment friendly and viable alternative energy sources like biofuels, supertrees and soybeans, hydroelectricity, natural gas, hydrogen fuel cells, atomic energy plants, solar energy, photovoltaic cells, and wind turbines and wind farms will reduce the dependence on oil and coal and make the future energy green.
